Sundarbans Family Package Tour Plan from Kolkata for 2 Night 3 Days:

Day 1:

Sundarbans Train Package
We will start the journey at 7:42 am by train from Sealdah, we will reach Canning at 9.00 am. Then we will take an auto rickshaw / car and we’ll reach the boat at 10:30 am.

Sundarbans Car Package
We will start the journey at 7:00 or 7:30am in a Non AC car from Dunlop /Shyambazar/Science City and we’ll reach the boat at 10 or 10:30am.

11:00 am we will start on our boat to reach the final destination.
The boat will run as long as the sun sets, and we’ll visit some tourist spots. After sunset, the boat will be anchored in a safe place.

Day 2:
The journey begins with the sunrise, and we’ll visit some tourist spots. After sunset, the boat will be anchored in a safe place.

Day 3:
The journey begins with the sunrise, and we’ll visit some tourist spots. After lunch, we will go back to our own place. 🙂

Day 1:
Sundarbans Train Package

Tourist Spots in Sundarbans National Park which we will visit during our journey:

1. Sajnekhali Mangrove Interpretation:
Sajnekhali being the main gateway of the Sundarban Tiger Reserve Forest (STRF) and very popular among tourists, actually it’s a part of “Pirkhali Forest“of Sajnekhali Wildlife Sanctuary. It has a (a) Mangrove Interpretation Centre (MIC) for information on Mangroves and the Ecosystem (b) Watch Tower for viewing wildlife (c) Crocodile and Turtle Pond (d)Bono Bibi Temple.(e) One Station Office of permission to enter the Sundarban Tiger Reserve Forest. A bird watcher’s / lovers’ careful search can find the followings type of birds: Colorful Kingfisher, white Bellied Sea Eagle, Plovers, Lapwings, Curlews, Whimbrel, Sandpipers and even the occasional Pelican.

2. Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower, Mangrove Park:
Sudhanyakhali is nearby spot of Sajnekhali. It is adjacent to the bank of Sudhanyakhali river. There is a Mangrove Park with Watch Tower beside a sweet water pond to viewing wildlife on a stretch of cleaned up observation areas. If you are lucky visitor you can see the tiger here. Most of the tigers are sighted from this tower. Animals are come to drink water in the sweet water pond. The common animals are wild boar, spotted deer, monkey, monitor lizard, Varieties of birds, crabs, etc..

3. Dobanki Canopy Walk:
Dobanki Canopy Walk is another great spot in the Sundarban Tiger Reserve Forest. Trip would be incomplete without this Canopy Walk. It is more than five hundred meter long walkway, at a height of twenty feet from the forest ground which is fully covered in grill and strong net.The experience of walking through it at a high of Canopy of mangrove forests gives thrilling taste to the traveler.

4. Netidhopani Watch Tower and Shrine:
Netidhopani is one of the famous place in the Sundarban Tiger Reserve Forest. This place is memorable for the bengali legendary story of Behula and Lakhindar. Netidhopani has a tiger Watch Tower and 400+ years old “Chand Sowdagar” temple.

5. Burir Dabri Watch Tower, Mud Walk:
Burir Dabri is famous for watch tower, Mud walk and a caged trail. This is Raimongal River View Point. The land fauna consisting of snails, difference of crabs and even tiger pug-marks can be seen closely during the clay walk. This watch tower is fantastic with one walking over the timber bridges and then a Clay-walk through the cage-tunnel and finally to a timber watch tower for watching Bangladesh sundarbans across the river Raymongal which forms the international border between India and Bangladesh.

6. Jhingakhali Watch Tower:

Jhingakhali is a watch tower and the scenic charm of this land is good preserved. Also, the possibilities of find tigers are relatively major in this watch tower. This watch tower has also watching areas and a sweet water pond for find the wildlife. There is also a forest goddess “Bon Bibi” temple within the spot.

7. Harinbhanga Watch Tower and Water Cruise:
Harinbhanga tourist spot and watch tower is situated under the forests Block of Arbesi. On the way one may view Estuarine, Crocodile and Dolphin also.

8. Bonie Camp and Sundarkati Watch Tower and Eco Museum:
Bonie Camp has one of the excellent watch towers in the Sundarbans Forest. This is the highest watch tower in the Sundarbans (50 feet). It is very near to the Bay of Bengal. The environment of the watch tower is very imaginary and one gets the feeling of being marooned on a lonely island when one expend the night at Bonnie camp. The lurking fright of Royal Bengal Tiger and barking of deer at night add a fearful feeling to this destination. In fact, on a moonlit night, the scene of the forest from the watch tower crisscrossed with Small River and inlet all around is a treat for the eyes.

9. Bhagabatpur Crocodile Project and Nature Interpretation Centre:
The Bhagabatpur Crocodile Project is a great tourist destination spot of Sundarbans. This is the only crocodile project in West Bengal and is situated within the Saptamukhi Estuary. The deep mangrove forest at the junction of Saptamukhi River way has immeasurable natural beauty to attract travelers round the year.

10. Kalas Dwip Sunset Beach:

Kalash Island is a part of Sundarbans National Park that located at the estuary of the River Matla. Being outside the Core area of Sundarbans, travelers are permitted to get down on the beach with armed guards. Kalash Island is also the domicile to many differences of coastal birds and is particularly a great land to spot uncommon waders.

11. Haliday Island Wildlife Sanctuary:
Haliday Island, is one of the third Wildlife Sanctuaries of the Sundarbans Wildlife Sanctuary, the other two are Saznekhali Wild Life Sanctuary and Lothian Wildlife Sanctuary. This Island is located on the Matla River, very close to the junction of the Bay of Bengal. Significant wildlife covers the Spotted and Barking Deer, Wild Boar and Monkey. Royal Bengal Tigers are irregular guest to this land.

12. Chulkati – Dhulivasani:
Chulkati and Dhulivasani spots are nearest to Kalas Island. This place is criss-crossing by rivers, giving an unprecedented and representation environ of the sundarbans. There is also have a unique watch tower (53 feet high) located to deep inside the Ramganga forest Range Sundarban. These forests harbour animals are tiger, deer, wild boar, monkey, water monitor lizard and varieties of birds and other animals.

13. Jharkhali Tiger Rescue and Rehability Centre:
Jharkhali is a renowned village of Sundarbans Island. There is a ‘Tiger Rescue & Rehabilitation Centre’. Beside this, there are a “Mini Zoo”, “Butterfly Garden”, “Children Garden” and a watch-tower.
